WNY Handyman has been renovating property since the mid 1990's. We have done a number of renovation projects over the years and often share our experiences or renovation techniques. We have been in the business of flipping for fun and profit and provide advice based on our experiences.
Our site is geared toward the weekend warrior and the DIY'er. However, it is our experience that many "professional" contractors could use a little advice now and then.
We did not have to build the cabinet. It is a stock item at Ikea.
I would not have known about this cabinet if I didn’t see it in the store. When I decided to write about the Lillangen Sink, I had a harder time finding this shallow vanity cabinet on the IKEA site. Not sure why.
To locate the shallow cabinet (about 10″ deep) you have to browse to the LILLĂ…NGEN page and then click on the “size” drop down. Change it to the 23 5/8×9 7/8×25 1/4″ selection. $59! Can’t beat that.
Glad that the photo’s helped. The ends were simply to act as a better transition for the frame and panel wall. It looked very strange without something there. We simply used 1″x3″ transition pieces that were caulked and painted to match (the photo is just with primer). It has been about a year now and worked out very well for us.

This is fantastic and has saved our bathroom!
Great work! Love the ends touching the wall that seem flush!
Did you hand craft wood ends for that?
Thank you so much for posting this great pic of the entire thing and the details on the cabinet.
