I was recently contacted by a representative of the Masonite corporation about publishing some content that they are providing. It is something that most people who do basic renovation will eventually need to know. The following documents are instructions to hang/install interior doors, exterior entry doors, and patio doors.

After seeing the street view images on Google Maps, I am sure you are as curious as I am about the vehicle used to capture those pictures. It is an interesting looking contraption and it obviously draws a little extra attention to itself. In fact, it even drew the attention of the police in this photo.
If you have ever seen Google street view maps, you will realize how useful they are. If you are in real estate or they are incredibly valuable. You can essentially do a drive by of a house or neighborhood and view a property.
I have always had the criticism that the Google Street View maps don’t include the date on the images. That would be a big help. But for the price, you can’t beat it. Did I mention it was free? From what I can tell, the images were taken in the summer of 2007.
Check out Google Street view by navigating to any address and clicking the button within the map that is title “Street View”. I’ll start you off at my office building (it doesn’t look like that anymore). You can zoom out and navigate from there. Have fun and don’t waste too much time!

Perhaps this isn’t the forum where you would expect a tribute to be written about Tim Russert, but that is really the beauty of who he was. Tim Russert was the best at his job. He was thorough and had the personality that everyone wanted to be around and wanted to connect with.
As a Buffalonian, Tim made you feel like you still knew him and that he could give you access to the highest levels of the government. Personally, I felt that the Buffalo voice would always be heard in politics thanks to a guy like Tim.
I wanted to write this short note to simply state that a guy like Tim Russert made me want to be a better person. The real person behind the public persona that these public figures project doesn’t always ring true, but with Tim Russert, it appeared to be as close to the real deal as there is.
I wasn’t a regular viewer of meet the press, but whenever Tim was on the air on any other show that I happened by, I would pause and watch and usually be smiling during and after. His many appearances on the Tonight show were fantastic. He was also a great interview when he was out promoting his books. An appearance with Charlie Rose, Donny Deutsch, or Tom Brokaw was always great entertainment. Full of great stories, simple advice, and a lot of laughs.
We should all follow some of Tim Russert’s advice.
I am not sure how long this has been like this, but I must say, they Buffalo News classified section is MUCH improved. Take a look. They need to fight to survive with all of the other options available to a seller today (ebay, craigslist, etc).
