They said that it was pretty dated and showed some evidence of water damage. The roof has been replaced, but it appears that the plywood on the roof might have delaminated from the prior covering allowing water through. He mentioned that the home's layout is 'different'. There is a built in hot tub near the foyer. The square footage (4000+) that they mention in the realtor listing is probably counting the basement space. There is evidence of water back up in the basement area. There is hardwood under carpeting in some of the main areas. The condition is unknown. Overall, this still seems like it could be a nice home for the right price (isn't anything). From the sound of it, a decent budget is needed for repairs and improvements.
