First, I am an interior designer and a house stager. I cannot believe anyone would actually want to retain and even repair these hideous abominations. I have them in both of the upstairs bathrooms of my 1917 colonial. I could just spit. Behind these little beauties is rock hard brown mastic. Anyone with any hope of selling their house in future should think twice about retaining these. They are ugly, make the space look dated, and are actually worse for prospective buyers to see than wallpaper. But hey, if you like plastic tiles, then vinyl or flocked wall paper must be high on your lists as well. Mine will be in a landfill by April.

Same problem here. Bought at a local Super Target and always, from day one, thought the battery was short on charge rentention. Soon after, the charge bars were only showing a capability of two green lights at a full charge and remains so today. Now, months later, it is so completely worthless. I have tried to contact Dyson, got an email response and phone number to contact that keeps calleron terminal hold. Not a good sign.
CHECK OUT THE NEW BLACK AND DECKER FLEX! AWESOME and WAY LESS EXPENSIVE
ABOUT 65 BUCKS AT WALMART. Wish it had been on market when I bought the Dyson. Could have two or three of these for the same money!

I had never painted a ceiling before so I purchased this paint to help aid me in the job. The paint went on extremely well and I had no issues with the blotchy look that others have mentioned. The paint does start to turn white pretty quick so you do have to paint quickly in order to get the full benefit of the pink color.

I was so pleased with the outcome I have moved on to other rooms in our house and used the same ceiling paint in our bathroom. One thing that I'm now noticing that when there is a lot of moisture in the room the purple color is reappearing on the ceiling. My husband splashed some water on the ceiling to see what would happen and every spot that got wet turns to purple. So I would not recommend using this paint in high moisture/high humidity areas. Once the room drys out the ceiling turns back to white but not the look I was really hoping for.

I had a 24v Lithium Combo kit but sold it last year after frustration with the Batteries. Both went bad and I had to send them in through a service company for Ridgid. Come to find out that they were on back order! My cobo kit was worthless since it took 5 months! Now my Ridgid 12v batteries are bad. By the way...the 12v are on Back Order as well. No more Ridgid for me!

Mine work fine. I have five (5) interconnected model #1285 throughout my home, and have not had a problem. Once I burned some toast and set them off, but other than that, no false alarms. I do keep the dust down in the house, and have 3 dogs and cats that I have to constantly have to vacuum up after. One factor maybe carpeted floors. Since building this home five years ago (when the alarms were installed), I went with hardwood and tile throughout. I have noticed a marked decrease in dust within the home. Could this be part of your problem?? New carpet, which sometimes has a lot of "flurries" once installed, or perhaps an old carpet that has since degraded, causing a similar these false alarms. I also take an air compressor lightly to the units when changing the batteries, so that may help. Whatever the source of your problem, find a solution, as these little babies may save you and yours. Good Luck, Sean
